For this special event, volunteers from IMPACCT were invited to Liberty State Park, in Jersey City to help organize and motivate event attendees throughout the day.
For this event, Michelle Etwaroo, IMPACCT’s Communication Manager reached out to individuals of all ages and backgrounds who were enthusiastic about health and fitness causes. “Our volunteers not only donate their time to help out at IMPACCT events, but they also volunteer from time to time to assist community partners whose values align with the organization’s.” Volunteers recruited for this event felt a special connection to each activity. “Thank you IMPACCT and Hercules Trophy for the opportunity! I really enjoyed helping people,” said Richard D., volunteer and personal trainer.
Promoting a healthy lifestyle is very important to IMPACCT, our volunteers, and clients. While IMPACCT focuses on housing and community services, one of its service areas is dedicated to health and wellness. The Hercules Trophy is an intercompany sporting day that builds camaraderie through fun challenges. Volunteers helped event goers navigate a hover-board obstacle course, cheered teams on during a truck pull, kept scores, and demonstrated activities before each challenge.
