On Saturday, February 13th, IMPACCT Brooklyn’s Homeowner Services Team hosted a love themed homebuyer workshop. The inaugural event was the first of its kind. A full day comprehensive class, where first time home buyers were able to get the information they need to help them along in the home buying process, but in a fun and inviting setting.
The doors opened at 8:30AM to a fully decorated classroom at our 1000 Dean Street office. Ms. Pat Julien, IMPACCT’s Director of Homeowner Services says, “When we thought of doing this class, we wanted to let everyone know that buying a home is still attainable in New York… And so on a day known for candies and chocolates, the message we want to share is obtaining a home and securing your family’s financial well-being during this City’s housing crisis, is the ultimate way to show your love“.
Guests were greeted with a catered breakfast and attendees (couples and singles) felt welcomed, energized and ready to learn! “The House Detective” kicked off the workshop by presenting info on home inspections and continued with Debra Johnson of Chase Bank. The day continued with a working lunch and presentations from an estate lawyer, insurance broker and other key speakers. Certificates of completion were presented to each attendee at the end of the workshop. But before class was dismissed for the day, Pat surprised everyone with a dessert bar of cupcakes and other treats.
