The right to vote is a fundamental aspect of our democracy, and with it comes the opportunity to shape our communities. This year’s elections are crucial at both national and local levels, and your participation can make a significant impact.
The Board of Elections in the City of New York is hiring Poll Workers to serve at poll sites across New York City. Become an Election Day Worker and you can earn up to $2,750 for working up to 10 days.
Election Day Workers can vary carrying the position from 17 years and up. Student Poll Workers must meet the following requirements:
- Be 17 years old by Election Day and get permission from school official and parent/guardian.
- Be a U.S. Citizen.
- Bilingual students fluent in Spanish, Chinese, Korean, Hindi and Bengali are encouraged to apply!
- Attend school in New York City.
- Have a GPA of at least 2.5 (B or 80).
- Register to be a “future voter.”
