As the weather gets cooler, we at IMPACCT Brooklyn recognize the challenges many small homes in Brooklyn face, from inadequate insulation and ventilation to outdated appliances and lighting. These issues lead to high utility bills and poor indoor air quality, which no family should have to endure. That’s why we’re taking action.
In collaboration with Pratt Center and Cypress Hills, we are enhancing our EnergyFit program to retrofit small homes for low- to middle-income families in Central and East Brooklyn over the next year.
EnergyFit is a free program that helps homeowners make essential repairs, seal and weatherize their homes, and upgrade to energy-efficient electric appliances—improvements valued between $20,000 and $25,000. These upgrades will help you save money, breathe cleaner air, and keep your home comfortable year-round.
