Congratulations – Age in Place NYC 2.0

Congratulations to Council Member Crystal Hudson on this major step in supporting older adults and aging in place!

Her Age in Place 2.0 package, which just passed two key bills through the City Council, strengthens protections to help seniors stay in their homes with dignity and security.

Inspired by caring for her late mother with Alzheimer’s, Hudson has been a tireless advocate for senior protections, fighting elder abuse and expanding critical services.

This initiative builds on partnerships with naturally occurring retirement communities (NORCs) to address rising rents, gentrification, and social isolation—ensuring aging in place remains a viable option for all seniors.
