In February, IMPACCT Brooklyn joined forces with Brooklyn Org and four other community-based organizations—Flatbush Development Corporation, Bridge Street Development Corporation, Grow Brooklyn, and Brooklyn Level Up—to distribute a $112,500 grant from the National Grid Foundation for emergency heating assistance.
As heating costs continue to rise, this initiative is providing critical support to seniors, families with children, and households with limited incomes, helping them stay warm and maintain stable homeownership. At IMPACCT Brooklyn, we understand that preserving housing means addressing all factors that impact stability, including utility costs. As a distributing partner for this grant, our Housing Services Department is ready to assist eligible homeowners in accessing this essential relief.
We are grateful to the National Grid Foundation for their generous investment in Brooklyn’s housing stability and to our partners for their commitment to community support. Together, we expect to assist more than 7,500 families this heating season.
Together, we’re keeping Brooklyn homes warm and homeowners secure.
